2016 In Review [A Look Back]
2016 In Pictures
So, 2016 hey…! I think we are all ready to leave that one behind. It wasn’t necessarily such a mess-up for me, but with everything that happened in the world, it’s honestly better stuck in history now.
Here’s a look back at a few of my highlights.
A Wineland Picnic
Delheim Wine Estate invited DPC to an amazing picnic. The estate is absolutely beautiful, and the food delicious. Read about it here.
This year DPC travelled to Limpopo, the Eastern Cape, the Northern Cape and North West!
Only in its second year, this is festival is one to look out for. Keep an eye out for Malkop 2017!
Always a favourite, this year Oppikoppi brought Yelawolf and August Burns Red. I also had the opportunity to be part of the organisation of a drum clinic with August Burns Red’s drummer.
Read the Oppikoppi review here.
This was our ride for one night, thanks to Waterfront Charters!

Dusty Rebels & The Bombshells 2016
Of course the annual Rockabilly festival in Cape Town is always a favourite. Read the review here.
That’s it for 2016! I’m looking forward to see what 2017 holds. As I saw in some random video on YouTube: Let’s leave the fuckery in 2016…
All the best readers!
