5 Tips for Rocking the Daisies

With just a day and a few hours to go, I am sure that by now you are so excited, you have your bags packed already and the car filled with petrol for the journey to Rocking the Daisies 2017. You’ve ticked off lists of essentials to take along, and worked out a line up on the RTD App. You’re almost good to go, just 5 more things to remember!

If you’ve been to RTD before, you will know that it’s not just a music festival, but the event has a whole string of other really cool things to do. So, if you’re not entirely sure what else to expect this year, here are 5 things to do and see:

See a band or DJ you’ve never heard of before

Yes, we all have our favourites, but try to make an effort to see at least one or two acts you don’t know at all. It’s always a refreshing experience and, who knows, you might just find your next favourite artist!

Take Part in the #DaisiesSpringClean

Join the #DaisiesSpringClean this year at #RTD2017 and give them a hand in reaching their goal of bringing in 25k items of clothing for communities and organisations who need it.

When: Thurs / Fri / Sun
Where: Main Gate

All it takes is a single item to make a difference. So, take it off, and add it to our collection.

Buy a souvenir

From beautiful pieces of clothing to power banks and artist merch, the stalls at Daisies are always super interesting! Support the locals and buy a memento to remind you of the fun you had at #RTD2017

Attend the Tribute to Ray Phiri

What is sure to be the emotional highpoint of the festival is the Tribute to Ray Phiri. Ray Phiri was on the initial festival line-up but sadly passed away in July. It takes place on Saturday 6 October on the Main Stage at 13h15.

Keeping these few tips in mind, go have a fantastic festival! And remember, it’s a green festival (so leave no trace!), and (most importantly) don’t be a poephol, be kind 😉
