Jesse Clegg touring at ‘Speed of Light’

Jesse Glegg

With restrictions easing, South-Africa’s Jesse Clegg is back on the road. The platinum-selling singer-songwriter will tour the Eastern and Western Cape over the coming weeks. Jesse’s newly released ‘Speed of Light’ track shot up the charts across the country with its upbeat pop-inspired mix.

Jesse wrote and produced ‘Speed of Light’ with US singer and songwriter Nick Furlong (Avicci, 5 Seconds of Summer, Kygo, Steve Aoki) and Nick Petricca (lead singer of Walk the Moon); the track was mixed by Tim Pagnotta (Grammy-winning producer for Blink 182, Neon Trees and Walk the Moon).

A positive approach for 2021 for Jesse Clegg

It’s hardly surprising the song has topped the charts with its subject matter. Jesse explains, “This song is about dealing with disappointment and regret and then rediscovering your passion and sense of connection; this tour symbolises exactly that – a culmination of what this year has represented and taking a positive approach moving into the new year.”

The new single is available on leading streaming and download platforms.

Like father like son…

‘Speed of Light’ follows on the back of Jesse’s previous chart-topping hit, ‘Let It Burn’. To date, Jesse has released over seven top 10 singles.

The singer-songwriter  is no stranger to life on the road. Son of South Africa’s Johnny Clegg, Jesse spent the first six years of his life on tour with his father.

Jesse is also an official ambassador for the Nelson Mandela 46664 Foundation and played at Radio City Music Hall in New York for the annual Mandela Day Concert. He has been nominated for three South African Music Awards.
